What edition are you playing?

Java Edition

Use this server address:

play.valatic.net

Open Multiplayer → Add Server, paste the address, save, then join.

Unsupported version / red Velocity

That means your Java Minecraft version is newer than Valatic currently supports. You need to downgrade your Minecraft Java version.

  1. Open the Minecraft Launcher.
  2. Click Installations.
  3. Create or select an installation using the newest version that Valatic supports.
  4. Launch that installation, then join play.valatic.net.
Do not use a snapshot, preview, or a version newer than the server. If you are unsure which version to select, ask Support before changing anything else.

Different Java error

Restart the launcher, make sure you are not using a snapshot/modpack, and re-add play.valatic.net exactly. If it still fails, send Support a screenshot of the full red error message.

What device are you on?

Use the Servers tab

  1. Open Minecraft → Play → Servers.
  2. Scroll down and select Add Server.
  3. Name: Valatic.
Address: play.valatic.net
Port: 19132

Save and join. Make sure Minecraft is updated and you are signed into a Microsoft account.

How are you trying to join on console?

Consoles normally do not offer a true custom Servers tab. Pick the method you are actually trying below.

Console Servers tab

Xbox, PlayStation, and Switch hide custom servers by default. You cannot add play.valatic.net in the normal server list like PC/mobile.

Use the BedrockTogether connection method instead, then select the temporary connection it creates and add Valatic there:

play.valatic.net : 19132

Joining through Add a Friend

Does the friend connection work?

What error do you see?

Update Minecraft first

That message means Minecraft versions do not match. Update Minecraft from your console’s store, completely close the game, reopen it, and try the friend again.

Use BedrockTogether

If Add Friend does not work, use BedrockTogether on your phone to create a console connection:

  1. Install/open BedrockTogether on a phone connected to the same Wi-Fi as the console.
  2. Add Valatic using play.valatic.net and port 19132.
  3. Start the connection in the app.
  4. On the console, open Minecraft → Play → Friends and join the BedrockTogether game/session.
If the BedrockTogether session does not appear, confirm the phone and console are on the same network and restart Minecraft after starting the connection.
